VR Accessibility Training Experience

Using Tech for Good

As one of the world’s leading banks, our client is focussed on making their business the most accessible company in the FTSE 100.

Recognising that technology is key to helping them achieve their ambition, they have harnessed Tech for Good to develop innovative and immersive learning experiences to help improve in-branch accessibility.

Innovative VR training experience

An immersive VR training experience has been designed to give employees a unique insight into the world of a visually-impaired customer.

The VR accessibility training experience is deployed on Oculus Go devices to employees and emulates how a customer with impaired vision would view the branch.

Employees have three tasks to complete as they navigate their way around a virtual branch to find an ATM and try to withdraw cash. The VR training experience is then assessed with follow-up employee workshops designed to embed learning outcomes.

An immersive and scalable VR solution

Employees have to rely on other senses to listen and feel their way around the branch environment, providing real empathy and understanding on how they can provide the best service for the visually-impaired.

The VR training experience is scalable (new features and tasks can be easily added) and is able to be deployed to multiple locations quickly and efficiently.
