Unity Developer

Job title: Unity Developer

Position: Full Time/Permanent

Location: Northampton

Hours: 9-5:30, Mon-Fri

We are looking for a Unity developer to help build the next level of AR/VR apps, including our own platform Reydar. You will be responsible for planning and implementing functionality into new and existing digital products, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with the design team to develop application and gaming ideas and specifications.
  • Transform design ideas and specifications into functional applications/games.
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and games.
  • Identifying and fixing code errors and game bottlenecks.
  • Offer and implement solutions in a timely manner.
  • Testing game functionality and theme dynamics.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience as a Unity Developer.
  • Experience with AR Foundation & XR Interaction Tool.
  • In-depth knowledge of Unity software.
  • Experience with both 2D and 3D.
  • Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools such as GIT.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field is preferable.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
  • Great troubleshooting and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.

Web Developer

Job title: Front-end Developer

We are a creative service and AR studio and we are passionate about bringing brands to life through creativity and digital innovation. We work in partnership with global and challenger brands to help them creatively connect with their customers in new and immersive ways, delivering unrivalled brand engagement for our clients.

If you are excited by the endless possibilities the world of AR/VR can take us into, then we have the greatest opportunity for you! We are looking for a confident and creative developer to join our team and help us build the next level of AR/VR apps and web systems for our clients.

You will also be responsible for planning and implementing functionality in our Reydar platform, including building the CMS code, identifying bottlenecks, and ensuring the quality of the finished product.

Initially this role will be offered on a contractual basis with the prospect of continuing to a permanent opportunity. Our studio is based in Northampton, however currently our operations are being delivered remotely and we would require the successful applicant to be able work from home. However, in the future when restrictions allow we may require on-site attendance for both internal team meetings and discussions/demos with our clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Working with the design team to develop applications and specifications.
  • Developing our client and in house application and web systems, as well as our AR/VR experiences.
  • Developing front end features to enhance the user experience.
  • Striking a balance between functional and aesthetic design.
  • Coding and maintaining of our WordPress sites.
  • Test and deploy applications and systems.
  • Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
  • Improve existing website and web applications.
  • Serve as an expert to provide technical support to other members of our team.

Requirements

  • Strong experience of HTML, CSS (including Bootstrap) and JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Good understanding of PHP and MySQL.
  • Understanding of key design principles.
  • Familiarity with software such as the Adobe Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and content management systems.
  • Experience with responsive and adaptive design.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Good understanding of internet protocols and security.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
