The University of Northampton
Arts Brochure & Digital Publication
The Challenge
Create. Engage. Measure.
Insight
The School of the Arts at The University of Northampton has developed a strong reputation in the HEI sector for delivering a range of quality courses in a vibrant and stimulating environment. Continuing to engage with the best students is key to the ongoing success and was the catalyst behind The School of the Arts putting their prospective student brochure out to tender.
Whilst our extensive experience in the education sector and our own creative ethos were important deciding factors during the tender process, it was our creative insight into how best to communicate with the target audience (both in the UK and across International markets) that led to the appointment of Engine Creative on this prestigious project for The University.
Output
Engine Creative agency developed a ‘+’ theme as a vehicle to convey the connected ethos of The School as well as to highlight that The University is recognised as the No. 1 university in the UK for Value Added (demonstrating the quality and effectiveness of teaching at an institution).
The brochure contains a celebration of creative success stories that run throughout The School, illustrated with a range of bespoke photography and engaging copy writing. Housed in an intricately crafted case, the document has already proven to be a must-have item for students visiting The University on open days.
Engine Creative also developed a tablet version of the brochure which can be downloaded for free from the App Store. The digital version of the brochure includes a wealth of interactive elements and is aimed at reaching out to a global audience whilst highlighting the forward-thinking approach of The University. The digital publication is also linked in to powerful analytics tools and the subscription model allows The School of the Arts to keep users updated with any changes.
The Payback
The printed brochure has already exceeded expectation in terms of take-up by prospective students
The digital brochure is the first fully interactive publication to be launched in the UK on the App Store by a HEI
