This month has seen Engine Creative adding to our growing reputation as brand builders by designing and developing a new identity for The Wilde Group, this brand development follows on from the successful re-brand of its consumer arm of the business, Wooden Supplies, in May of last year.
As The Wilde Group looked to position itself as a preferred sub-contractor to the Top 25 major contractors in the UK, we highlighted the brand’s unique stance as a multi-service provider whilst communicating their key values of attention to detail, quality, professionalism and credibility in the construction sector. The new brand identity featured across all brand channels will enable the company to achieve its long-term growth objectives set out at the start of the re-brand process.
Our work with The Wilde Group follows our successful re-brand of its consumer retail brand Wooden Supplies (previously named HFS Timber) which has over 30 years experience in supplying a vast range of timber products. A new name and a new brand required renewed thinking about how best to expand the reach of a great retail offering and branding was a key driver to the success of the new retail-led website. A combination of refined product imagery and a strapline which reflected the ethos of the new brand, ‘Click, Build, Enjoy’, were designed to broaden the reach of Wooden Supplies as a national brand.
After giving the Wooden Supplies brand a clear voice and identity, we set about creating an e-commerce solution that could take on the DIY giants through a simplified user experience and a visual approach to hardware retailing. The full re-brand was implemented across all communications prior to launch including in-store, livery, uniforms and promotional marketing (online and offline).
Following the re-brand Wooden Supplies continues to achieve their growth objectives with more than 60,000 visits to their website, 75.15% of whom are new visitors to the online retailer.
