As I blogged earlier in the week, we’ve been eagerly awaiting The University of Northampton’s Graduate Fashion Show 2012 at the Silverstone’s iconic Wing. After a big build up to the event the fashion show took place last night and certainly didn’t disappoint!
The Wing was the perfect backdrop to the event with graduates having the chance to exhibit their work alongside an amazing customised F1 car in the heart of the world famous Grand Prix Circuit at Silverstone.
A few of the Engine Creative team got glammed up and, as event sponsors, were lucky enough to be invited along to the show where we were all genuinely impressed at the quality of the student’s creative work. Our stand-out designs of the night came from Jason George’s medieval inspired mens collection, Kirsten Millard’s Tinkerbell-esque women’s collection and Dilshanie Yapa’s eye-catching black dress collection.
It was great to see our ‘Making Britain Great’ theme being realised so well on the night and for everything finally to come together after months of hard work! The show gave us an opportunity to catch up with old acquaintances as well as meet new faces, with full credit to The School of the Arts for having the ambition and ability to pull off such a high profile event.
Roll on The Graduate Fashion Show 2013!
