The UK’s oldest and most prestigious science park has relaunched its website with design and development from full service agency Engine Creative.

Cambridge Science Park, owned by Trinity College Cambridge and managed by Bidwells, celebrates 40 years of innovation this year.

As someone who has predominantly used Macs for the last 20 years for learning, professional and personal use it has always amazed and frustrated me that they are not used more widely in UK schools. Thankfully, I've now started to see the tide turn with a growing number of educators realising that there is more (much, much more) to the world of ICT in education than PCs and Microsoft Office.

Kaplan Financial, the UK's leader in financial and business training, has appointed Engine Creative to develop and implement a cross media communications strategy.

The creative agency will be responsible for raising the profile of the Kaplan brand in an increasingly competitive market. All communications will be centred around Kaplan's commitment to success and will aim to differentiate the leading training provider from its competitors.

The man-woman divide in the technical industries is unmistakeable. First at university and now in the workplace, I've become accustomed to being in a male-dominated environment. Far from wanting to start a debate on the reasons behind the lack of women in technology, I'm much more interested in having a chance to educate, inform and encourage women about the technical career opportunities available to them.

Engine Creative has launched a second award to recognise students on Advertising courses at the University of Northampton. Launched in 2008, the Engine Creative prize is competed for by the highest achieving graduates. The winner receives a cash prize and a placement at the full service creative agency.

I was invited to deliver a presentation on my work at Engine Creative as part of a ‘Women in Careers’ day at the school organised by EBLO. I was also asked if I would put on an activity so the students could get hands-on experience of what I do.

The new version of the dynamic communications tool keeps users up to date with all of the latest news and events from the OU in an engaging and visually rich way that delivers OU updates direct to the screens of students, alumni and staff of the UK's biggest university.
