Thorntons launches personalised The Snowman™ and The Snowdog Facebook App to make Christmas even sweeter for fans.
Christmas just wouldn’t be complete without your favourite Thorntons chocolates and now Britain’s much-loved chocolate maker is giving its Facebook fans a real treat this Christmas, with an amazing new Facebook app based on The Snowman and The Snowdog.
Thorntons commissioned award winning digital agency Engine Creative to design and develop The Snowman and The Snowdog Christmas Card Facebook app campaign which launches next week.
The app enables users to send their own personalised message to family and loved ones this Christmas, as The Snowman and The Snowdog fly over real world locations delivering a personalised message to homes.

The Snowman and The Snowdog Facebook app is Thorntons first co-branded Facebook app and is part of their ongoing and developing digital strategy on social media platforms. The app enables Thorntons to communicate with more people than ever before, creating a unique digital experience for users whilst strengthening the reach of the brand and increasing brand engagement.
The Snowman and The Snowdog magical journey is brought to life in front of users’ eyes as the popular animated characters fly into the real world using Google Maps technology, street view and bespoke 3D character animation. The campaign will also be accompanied by promotional animated videos, associated advertising and ongoing online social activity.
