So it’s Friday the 13th and the beginning of the annual ‘Museums at Night’ events around the UK. Museums, galleries and heritage sites all over the country will be open to the public for evening and night time events, running though the weekend until Sunday the 15th.
As it begins on Friday the 13th it makes perfect sense to begin with a ghostly tale or two. Kent’s No. 1 Smithery at The Historic Dockyard Chatham is inviting guests for a ‘not so good nights sleep‘ within the mysterious listed building. If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, how about a child friendly spook at Worcestershire’s Hartlebury Castle where you can go on a bat hunt looking for the castle’s oldest residents.
If scary goings on aren’t really your thing. ‘Museums at Night’ are also offing a huge selection of experiences including Arty, Science and Nature, Musicals, Literary History and Military History. More information and further event categories can be found online where you can also search for what’s happening near you.
