Take That and Jubilee Party like it’s 1952!

As demonstrated by my recent blog posts, here at Engine Creative we are getting into the spirit of all things British and have created the official website for Gary Barlow and his Commonwealth Band. The unique band released their charity single and album ‘Sing’ to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations this June, taking a double Official Chart victory by securing a Number 1 in both the singles and albums chart. In addition ‘Sing’ also became the biggest selling Number 1 of the year so far with 142,000 sales since the momentous Jubilee Concert, earning Gary Barlow a coveted Official Number 1 Award from the Official Charts Company.

The Commonwealth Band are the brainchild of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gary Barlow who have travelled Commonwealth countries including Australia, Jamaica and Kenya to construct a truly amazing choir to feature on the “Sing” track. The track also lends British support from Gareth Malone and his Military Wives Choir who take ‘Sing’s’ lead vocals.

The website allows visitors to meet Commonwealth Band members, along with the chance to hear snippets from the single and there’s also an area where visitors can download the lyrics to sing along with the band in true Jubilee street party style.

To get behind Gary Barlow and his Commonwealth Band in this Jubilee year and raise plenty of cash for good causes in the process, download the single from iTunes or visit the Play website to order a ‘real’ copy.
