The Twittering classes

As part of the growing social media landscape, Engine Creative has been using and interacting on Twitter for some time. Our @EngineCreative Twitter account reached 200 Tweets (Twits? Posts?) last week. Of course it is not about how often you Tweet but about what you have to say.

The Northampton Chronicle & Echo (@ChronandEcho) asked Twitter followers about their use of the medium as a business tool and as always, we had some useful insights to share. Our Projects Director, Andy Wise commented:

“Some of us have our own personal Twitter accounts and have been using it as an expression of what we are up to. We decided to test the water to market ourselves and set up an Engine Creative account. We have used Facebook and MySpace and they didn’t work for us.”

“We put up a range of things about what we are up to, news stories of projects just completed, what music we are listening to in the studio or something happening in the industry. We have also found it really useful as a networking tool.”

Twitter is whatever you want it to be whether that’s to inform, be
informed or converse. We use it for all of that & more. ;-)
