German dance outfit Scooter has pushed Madonna off the Number 1 spot in the UK Album Charts after only one week. Quite an achievement when you consider commercial dance gets hardly any airplay on the radio.
It is the biggest success yet for our clients, Blackburn-based independent record label All Around the World (AATW). Engine Creative has been working with AATW for years on the creative for the massive selling compilations Clubland, Floorfillers and Dancemania (See our Case Studies and Portfolio for some of the work).
But that is not all. Clubland Classix, another AATW album Engine Creative has worked on, is still at No. 1 in the Album Compilations Chart, making this a massive week for the record label. We are especially proud of Clubland since Engine Creative created the brand identity all those years ago.
AATW Director Matt Cadman told the BBC News website today: “Commercial dance is a very overlooked genre. It’s quite sad really. The Clubland TV channel is doing fantastically well, it’s one of the biggest music channels on Sky.”
We are quite proud to be part of this success. The wall of the Engine Creative’s reception is already covered in Golden and Platinum Records from the Clubland series but we are already clearing a space for the many more chart toppers we will be certain to produce for All Around The World.
