So, January has passed (already!) and we’re well into February and on the cusp of Spring. It’s been a busy month on a lot of levels and it
feels like a good time for a bit of a general update post about the comings and goings at Engine Creative.
Our work in the music industry continues to build nicely with the release of Ultimate NRG Megamix and the publicity shy N-Dubz’s latest single, Playing With Fire. We’re currently working on the artwork for new releases from Renaissance and a huge dance compilation cover, TVC and related marketing collateral. As they (the kidz) say, it’s gonna be massive!
January has also seen three new full-on, 3D visualised creatives for our Toyo Tires European advertising campaign as well as a promotional video. We’ll post images and video of these as soon as they’re in the public domain.
Our digital team has been kept busy working on a number of websites (primarily dynamically driven public sector sites) and database driven applications and we should see some of these go live in the next few weeks. We’re also squeezing in a great little R&D project we’ve been thinking about for some time and hope to see that come to fruition this quarter.
Finally, although I’m sure I’ve missed loads, our video production team are being kept busy with a couple of large scale museums and cultural heritage projects and are working on the creation of various films and immersive interactive experiences. Filming services are definitely a growing part of our business following a sustained period of investment and I’ve got a feeling that a blog post on ‘video for your brand’ is probably overdue. Must think of a snappier title though.
In other news, we’ve met up with some old friends and been introduced to new ones and are quite interested by the launch of the iPad – there we go, it’s out in the open, we’ve mentioned ‘it’ along with every other blogger, tweeter and geek in the world. We’re already in talks with a couple of clients about ideas for branded iPad apps and it’s exciting stuff.
We’re also on the look out for a new PHP Developer so anyone who fancies getting on board ‘the Engine’ (that doesn’t sound quite right but there we go) should get in contact now.
Oh, and we also made onto the front cover of The Drum, which was nice.
February? Bring it on!
