Continuing our long running relationship with Emap, Engine Creative was commissioned to produce a poster, menu cards & website header for the Emap Consumer Media (ecm) magazine and digital awards 2007.
This is a night when more than 1,500 Emap employees get together at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park lane, for their very own internal awards evening and cheer on the shortlisted individuals, teams and titles.
The focus was on creating an illustration concept to run throughout the collateral and the approach was maximalist…to include most, if not all the genres and areas the company works within! The concept decided on was a flowing ‘Emap’ celebratory stream full of energy and movement, containing and mixing all the elements and genres specified in the brief (everything from fish keeping and steam trains to celebrities and fashion). This involved many hours of tracing objects in vector and a delicate jigsaw-like process of piecing them together to create the final illustrations.
The awards take place on September 21st and we wish all the nominees good luck!
