Engine Creative are currently working with the East Midlands regional LARSOA group on a young drivers campaign aimed at highlighting the dangers of night driving, over confidence and inexperience. We are taking a deliberately hard hitting approach which has been well received by focus groups. The campaign involves branding, awareness literature, website and a DVD for Road Safety Officers to use as part of their presentation.
As a result of this work we have also recently teamed up with Northamptonshire County Council and are producing a short film aimed at the school leaver age group. This, again, is backed up by a strong brand identity that we have created and that will form the basis of all the marketing collateral.
This work comes on the back of the proposed Commons transport committee initiative to stop young people “killing themselves and others”. It’s an initiative that, based on the research we have undertaken for the projects, is something that we fully back.
