Imagine our surprise when, on the very day we had our meeting to discuss new design concepts with Hunts County, we stumbled across this article in Creative Review. Hunts County was used as an example of how the traditional cricket bat has moved on from branded in the old sense of the word to branded in the very new sense.
We created the aforementioned design for Hunts County back in 2005 and, 5 years on, we’re back on the case looking to redefine and update the Hunts County brand for 2010 and beyond.
All of which reminds me of the work we did for the Kahuna bat by Kookaburra many years ago. Metallic stickerage (new word courtesy of Patrick Burgoyne, editor of Creative review), 3D visuals and epic swoosh SFX all helped to sell a lot of products for our client.
