There have been some amazing dance tracks over the past three decades and 12″ Dance – The Definitive Collection is the first time some of these have all come together in their full untouched glory.
‘Step On’ by the Happy Mondays, ‘Beat Dis’ by Bomb The Bass and Donna Summer’s classic ‘I Feel Love’ are just a few of the 12″ gems on offer here and Engine Creative are chuffed to have been able to create the visual direction of the album for Rhino / Warner UK.The album artwork is dominated by a solid gold turntable created in-house not out of molten gold but as a 3D illustration (it was safer). We thought the use of an iconic turntable as a golden trophy would be a fitting image to represent these tracks and the use of lighting on the CDs would be a great way to show off each decade.
