This week, Engine Creative’s digital team had the pleasure of attending the Future of Web Design conference in London. For those that don’t already know, the Future of Web Design, or FOWD as it is affectionately known, is one of the premier conferences for web designers and other web professionals in the United Kingdom. Some of the highlights included detailed HTML 5 talks by Peter Lubbers and Bruce Lawson, some fascinating takes on design by Aarron Walter & Simon Collison, and forward thinking business strategy talks by Paul Boag & Brett Welch.

We’re seeing a major trend with companies and organisations alike wanting to have small but modern and dynamic web presences to represent them online. Gone are the days of the static site - blogs, Google maps, event calendars and communities are now the standard.
