Midlands creative agency Engine Creative has completed the second phase of work on the interactive screen saver used in all major Tesco stores in the UK. The bespoke application allows customers to engage with and find out more about the capabilities of every individual computer in the Tesco range.
Centred around educating customers through 3D character animations and clear definitions of key technology terms, the fun application is aimed squarely at the mainstream market. “The Tesco brand is a British institution and we have taken the ethos of ‘Every little helps’ and added warmth and humour to ensure consumers are easily able to connect to the technology,” comments Projects Director, Andy Wise. With so much competition in laptop and PC sales online and off line, the ability for Tesco to bring complex technical information alive and empower their customers to make more informed buying decisions will be key to developing their position in the market place.
The screen saver is available to view in-store at most major Tesco stores.
